We want these words to define what is most important to us, so that we can say we are a church that is
Evangelical - the Bible is our basis.
Charismatic - empowered by the Holy Spirit.
Anglican - part of something bigger than ourselves.
Family - valuing all ages.
Inviting - reaching out to others here and supporting mission work around the world.
Serving - rolling our sleeves up to help those in need.
Generous - giving away what we have and who we are.
The Cross - This is all summed up in the cross - the most powerful symbol of the Christian faith. The Bible tells us that our rebellion is so serious that it took Jesus to the cross. But His death is the means of our life: God's generous love wouldn't allow us to be separated from Him; and His power wouldn't allow the grave to have the last word. This all moves us to respond to God by rejecting everything that offends Him, serving to see His justice brought about on earth and inviting others to belong to the family of all those who put themselves under the reign and rule of Jesus Christ, being filled with His Holy Spirit, while we look forward to His return as King of all the earth.
